Great food and cocktails! Fun and energetic atmosphere. Friendly, quick service. I really enjoyed the whipped feta dip appetizer and the bowl options on the menu. The avocado bowl with chicken was delicious and full of flavor.

I liked the brunch here! I got the biscuits and gravy and they were so delicious. Got without eggs because I don't like those but very good. I don't handle spice well and I thought it was the perfect level. Our waiter was also very good, super patient and funny. Would definitely come back

OK - there is my thorough review of this restaurant ---------- First of all, I am celiac, and I absolutely loved that they have gluten-free buns and were fairly aware of what was gluten-free and what was not OK - here was what was fantastic Merriment burger - I love this burger and would recommend it. The fries are made in the same fryer as other things and they have some kind of coating on them so I couldn't get the fries, but the Caesar salad was great for some reason. The burger reminded me a little of Culver's. Wings -someone got wings who was a bit of a snob about their wings. Anyway, he said these were great and were even a bit hotter than he expected in a good way. Go Che Chong cauliflower bowl (I'm sure I misspelled that) - apparently this is super fantastic and everyone at the table had to try it OK, there was a choice or two that we would not get again Salmon bowl - this one probably was in last place. I would even go so far as to suggest they might want to retire this one. Chicken Euro club - this was not bad, but I don't think we would order it again especially when so many of the other things on the menu were so good. The service was great and it's got a cool vibe inside The night we were here was a Friday night and it was hopping. I didn't see if they had gluten-free beer, but if they did, it wasn't on the menu I saw Anyway, a big thumbs up for me

Came for a late brunch on Saturday around 1:30 pm and we were seated immediately. Service was quick, and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Food was decent, but there were a couple of things that could have been better to make this a 5 star experience. We ordered the beignets to start which, according to the menu had a vanilla creme in it, but actually came with a lemon flavored creme. We enjoyed it, but were a little surprised and confused by the lemon flavor. For our mains, we got a crab cake benedict that came with hash browns and the burrito #1 with a side of bacon. Portion sizes were generous and we had a good amount of leftovers to take home. I liked the crab cake benedict which was flavorful with perfectly poached eggs, but the burrito could have used some more flavor. It actually didn't taste like it was seasoned at all and the salsa it came with was also light in flavor. We also felt the side of bacon we got was overly greasy. Overall, I still love the ambiance of the restaurant and their creative menu options. It's a solid brunch spot if you want big portions and to be somewhere nice and lively but not overly packed.

We stopped at Merriment Social for a Sunday brunch at around 10:15am and were able to get a table easily! I would say by the time we left a little after 11am it was pretty packed. There were a lot of large groups that they were easily able to accommodate, a lot of which looked to have made reservations. We sat upstairs and had a great view of the entire restaurant. Our food came quickly and was really good overall! I had the biscuits and gravy which could have just had the tiniest bit more flavor, but overall I really enjoyed. The service was friendly and efficient and we will definitely be back!

How have I neglected to review Merriment Social?!?! I've been here several times now, for group events, with my husband, and with other people that I've wanted to share the place with. Not once, have I ever had a bad meal. NOT ONCE. Hamburgers rule the day here, and they are delicious! I've had so many different ones as the menu changes, or as they have hosted burger-offs, with customer designated ingredients. These burgers would then go head to head with another customer designed burger until a winner was eventually crowned. There is other food here, too, and I'll let others speak to that, as I almost exclusively get a burger when I come here. The cocktails are spot on and creative, and even the mocktails are special. I had to ask the bartender more than once, "Are you SURE there's no alcohol in here?" because it tasted like there was alcohol in there (and not in a bad way). A few things to note: it can get loud in there, as there aren't really any soft surfaces to absorb sound, and it can get chilly if it's a little breezy out and the garage doors are open. This place is a not-so-hidden-gem hiding in the 3rd ward. 38/2024

Awesome birthday brunch at Merriment Social! Really good breakfast burrito and a huge portion of their fries with aioli. The burrito had crispy hash browns, sausage, eggs, and bacon with this tangy avocado verde salsa. Such a simple dish but had tons of flavor and loved the grilled tortilla! The fries were literally perfect- so crispy and soft on the inside and I love garlic aioli I could have eaten the entire thing! Opted for one of their mocktails and the "you deserve it" was so good I wanna recreate it! Lime juice, strawberry purée, mint, soda water- it was so refreshing! Super spacious inside with a good vibe and affordable brunch! Will have to try the bottomless mimosas too with all 3 flavors:)

Came here for a family brunch for the first time. We ordered the brussels sprouts to share, and it was absolutely delicious. It was sweet and had walnuts. We also ordered mimosas, and I ordered the brussels sprout salad as my main. It had goat cheese, squash and asian pears! Definitely recommend. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and drinks. We will definitely be coming back.
